Anne Heche has joined the cast of USA Network’s six-episode thriller “Dig,” from Tim Kring and Gideon Raff. Heche will play the head of the FBI office in Jerusalem in the potboiler about an FBI agent’s search for a religious artifact linked to an event that will change the course of history. Jason Isaacs toplines the series from Israeli TV powerhouse Keshet Intl. and Universal Cable Prods.
Kring (“Heroes”) and Raff (“Homeland”) co-created “Dig” and exec produce with Gail Berman and Gene Stein of Tecumseh Prods. Project is lensing in Israel and other locales for a premiere targeted toward the end of the year.
Heche is coming off a brief run in the NBC comedy “Save Me.” As a producer she is now shepherding the NBC/Universal TV comedy pilot “Bad Judge” starring Kate Walsh.
