The trailer for Morgan Spurlock’s documentary Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, chronicling the annual San Diego event, has hit the web.
Shot at Comic-Con in 2010, the film which is also being produced by Joss Whedon and Stan Lee, gives a first-hand glimpse into the fan-driven event that puts thousands of fans of comic books, graphic novels and “geeky” TV shows/movies at the forefront. Interviews with Eli Roth, Seth Rogen, Kevin Smith (a regular at the Con), collectors, comic fans, artists/designers are also featured in the film.
Wrekin Hill Entertainment and National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) have also announced tour dates touting the film and a theatrical/VOD day-and-date release on Friday, April 6. The tour currently consists of 10 dates, kicking off April 5 in Atlanta and wrapping up (at the moment) on April 22 in Detroit.
