The PlayStation Network will be back online before the end of May, a Sony representative said today.
The Network was taken offline on April 18th following a security breach by hackers, who gained access to the details of over 70 million user accounts. Shigenori Yoshida said the company is uncertain on an exact date that it will be able to bring the Network back online, he says it plans to restore the service completely by 31 May.
As way of compensation, Sony is offering users one month’s free access to its subscription-based PlayStation Plus service, plus two free games.
