CBS is readying the new time slot launch of The Good Wife with a special.
The critically-acclaimed drama has aired on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. for the past two seasons, but earlier this year, the network announced a scheduling move that put The Good Wife on Sundays at 9 p.m. — pitting it against the final season of Desperate Housewives and Sunday night football on NBC.
In preparation for the move, CBS has scheduled a half-hour catch-up special, The Good Wife: A New Beginning, on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 9:30 p.m. with interviews from the executive producers and stars of the show, footage and storylines from the last two seasons. A sneak peek at scenes from the third season premiere will also be included.
