AT&T has announced a new program that will let customers receive $100 towards new gear when they trade in an old smartphone, mobile hotspot, or tablet.
AT&T says the trade-ins should be no more than three years old and in good, working condition. The trade-ins may come from any manufacturer and any other carrier. Customers who visit AT&T retail stores will receive a $100 credit on the spot, which can be put toward a new smartphone, smartphone accessories, or new service.
Customers who wish to trade in devices that are valued at more than $100 will be credited the extra amount. The AT&T trade-in promotion begins May 1 and runs for an unspecified length of time.
