Google has released an update to its Picasa, photo software. The new version 3.5 adds several new features, including facial recognition technology that is designed to automatically organize content based on the subjects in the photo.
Picasa 3.5 allows users to add name tags to photos, to give the standalone software parity with the the Web Albums. The import function has been streamlined and now has one step photo import directly from a digital camera to a Web Album. Plus you can also geotag images and view them directly on a map with the Google Map integration.
Picasa 3.5 is available for Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X 10.4.9+ (Requires Intel CPU).
