MTV has renewed the acclaimed series Awkward for a fourth season, with one significant change: Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler (90210, Cashmere Mafia) are stepping in as new showrunners, replacing series creator Lauren Iungerich, who exited at the end of June.
Awkward is slated to return with the second half of Season 3 in October.
