Seth MacFarlane’s Ted was one of the biggest breakout comedies of 2012 and both he and his co-star Mark Wahlberg have already been on record that they plan to continue the adventure of John Bennett and his foul-mouthed talking teddy bear Ted.
MacFarlane is busy working on his comedic Western follow-up A Million Ways to Die in the West, which is scheduled for May 30, 2014, and in which the “Family Guy” creator co-stars with Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson, but he took to Twitter to announce the planned release date for his next movie after that, which will be the anticipated sequel currently known as Ted 2.
As MacFarlane said in response to a query on Twitter:
RT @JohnnyMctardo: @SethMacFarlane when is Ted 2? // We’re aiming for a 2015 Passover release date.
For those who don’t keep track of their Jewish holidays, that would make it the release date of April 3, which is also Easter weekend that year.
