Olivia Munn is in talks to join director David Koepp’s Mortdecai in an unspecified role, Deadline reports. She would star opposite the previously announced Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Mortdecai is an adaptation of “The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery” by Kyril Bonfiglioli. The fourth chapter in the author’s Mortdecai series (which also includes 1972’s “Don’t Point That Thing At Me,” 1976’s “Something Nasty in the Woodshed,” and 1979’s “After You with the Pistol”), the novel was published posthumously in 1996. It follows Charles Mortdecai, a debonair art dealer and part time rogue on race to uncover a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
In addition to being a series regular on HBO’s “The Newsroom,” Munn’s recent big screen appearances include The Babymakers and Magic Mike.
