For those who want the PlayStation experience but aren’t ready to commit to a PS 4, GameStop will have another alternative. Beginning Oct. 8., the retailer will offer an exclusive blue PS3 Superslim at its stores in the U.S. and Canada, Sony announced on Tuesday at the 2013 GameStop Conference. The so-called “Azurite Blue” model will be priced at $250, and features a 250GB hard drive that can hold more than “1,800 games, 140 movies, 99,000 songs, and 40,000 photos, or a mixture of all,” Sony said. It comes with a matching Azurite Blue DualShock 3 wireless controller, and has a built-in Blu-ray player.
The Azurite Blue PS3, along with the Garnet Red model, is currently only available in Australia, the U.K., and Japan. Those in the U.S. and Canada who are interested in this blue beauty can pre-order it at GameStop beginning tomorrow. But if you’re looking to get your hands on this model, you better act fast. Sony said it will be only be available for a “limited time.”
