Justin Lin, who directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 for Universal Pictures, is reteaming with the studio on another franchise. According to Variety, Lin is in talks to direct the sequel to The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner returning to again play Aaron Cross.
Anthony Peckham recently came on board to write the script. Frank Marshall and Ben Smith are producing. The Bourne Legacy opened in theaters in August of 2012 and earned $276.1 million worldwide. It cost about $125 million to make.
A release date has not been set for The Bourne Legacy sequel.
