Just a few hours after it became available, Apple’s Mac Pro has received a firmware update. Apple published Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.0 midday Thursday, saying that it is recommended for all Mac Pro (Late 2013) models. The update improves system reliability during reboot, and it solves an issue with memory self-test.
In addition to those two improvements, the update improves graphics power management when using Boot Camp. It is available as a free download through Apple’s support pages. The 5MB download requires a new Mac Pro running OS X 10.9 or later.
