Apple will hold an earnings call for its first fiscal quarter on January 27th at 5PM Eastern, the company has announced. After results are revealed, CEO Tim Cook and CFO Peter Oppenheimer will likely stay on the line to answer questions from analysts. Digital versions of Apple’s figures should be available roughly 30 minutes prior.
The first quarter is always a critical one for Apple, since the holiday season is usually the company’s most profitable. This year Apple will also record initial sales for a number of major products, including the iPhone 5s and 5c, and the iPad Air and Retina iPad mini. The company has also expanded further than ever internationally, for instance adding China to the list of first-wave iPhone and iPad launch countries.
The public will be able to listen into the call via Apple’s Investor Relations page. Earnings calls are always held after the close of NASDAQ trading, so as to minimize the impact on Apple shares.
