Capcom teases the West when it comes to Monster Hunter releases, but this might be something we’ll see in the future, as Capcom’s boss has mentioned wanting to explore options for an online Monster Hunter outside of Japan. Currently, Monster Hunter Frontier G is an online experience that has been released on several different platforms including PC and Xbox 360. A new, updated version of the game called Monster Hunter Frontier GG will appear on PS3, Wii U, and PS Vita some time this year.
You can see the box art for the Wii U version below, which doesn’t have a solid release date yet. Currently, the only information we have about Monster Hunter is that Monster Hunter 4 will be heading to the West sometime in 2015, but that’s for Nintendo 3DS only for now. It’s likely that depending on sales of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, we could see a second installment released on the Wii U in the West.
