Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment is tracking users said to be cheating in the recently released game. While the studio does not detail its methods in rooting out cheating gamers, a representative showed up on Twitter to respond to a user asking what the company considers cheating. “Using aimbots and such! Normal users won’t have to worry,” reads a statement on its official Twitter account.
The studio representative adds that cheating players will be rooted out “shortly.”
A number of websites are currently offering aimbots that exploits in-game data including the ability to see players, items, explosives and other objects that users would not typically be able to see. This also includes “Wallhacks” that allow the user to see enemies and friendly players through walls at all times. Aimbots both aim and shoot for the player, while the bot’s abilities can be adjusted slightly to appear less suspicious to other players.
