On the new episode of Comic Book Men, “Certified Guarantee,” a customer named Rick brings in four short-boxes full of comic gems that his dad to help pay for college. When Rick comes to the Stash to sell the collection, Walt explains that some books would be far more valuable if they were Certified Guaranty Company (CGC graded).
Walt invites a CGC grader to explain the benefits of their service, he brings some samples so Rick can see what a difference having his books professionally graded will do. It might cost hundreds of dollars, but grading is a small price to pay for a potentially huge payoff.
