Stan Lee has rallied behind Free Comic Book Day, filming a video to help promote the event. The Spider-Man co-creator can be seen explaining what the annual event entails, reminding fans that 60 free titles will be on offer during the first week of May.
“Here’s your chance to get comic books absolutely free. You know me, Stan Lee wouldn’t lie to you. All you have to do is stop by your local comic book store on the first Saturday in May,” Lee said in the clip that you can see in full below. “You’re gonna find 60 great comic books, yours for the asking at your participating local comic book shop. Just imagine, action, thrills, fantasy all yours free!”
Diamond Comic Distributors previously announced the full list of free Gold and Silver Sponsor titles for the 2014 edition of Free Comic Book Day. A full list of Free Comic Book Day titles is available via the event’s website.
