Led by general manager Robert Scanlon, Velocity will launch a U.S. version of one of its flagship series, “Wheeler Dealers.” For the first time in the show’s history, hosts Mike Brewer and Edd China will dedicate an entire season of their series to America, leaving Britain, where the program is normally set. As usual, the duo will search the nation for the right vehicles to buy, restore and sell for a profit. Te show is expected to debut in the summer of 2015.
Other new programs include: “Junkyard Hustle,” slated to debut in July of 2015. The show features the father-and-son team of Bobby and Andrew Cohen, who use their Maryland junkyard to turn cars, campers, heavy equipment and more into cash, with their own finances at risk. “Garage Squad,” also set for July 2015, brings ace mechanics to help average hobbyists turn that clunker in the garage into a working classic. “Wheels That Fail,” scheduled to debut in January 2015, is a comedic compilation of outrageous, hilarious and dangerous misadventures on wheels. “Extreme Auto Hunters” was not given a target launch date.
“Dallas Car Sharks,” “Fantomworks,””What’s In The Barn,” “Graveyard Carz” are all expected to return, along with “Chasing Classic Cars” and “Overhaulin’.”
