A U.S. appeals court today sided with the International Trade Commission and agreed that Apple is innocent of violating three Samsung patents.
The decision, reached by the ITC in June 2013, stands as is and the ITC will not be forced to revive the case. The ITC case is entirely separate from the trial that took place between Apple and Samsung in California last month. Last month’s case involved different patents. Apple was awarded $119 million in damages after a jury found Samsung guilty of infringing three smartphone patents.
