iLuv has started shipping the TimeShaker Micro, a stripped-down version of the original TimeShaker clock released last year. The Micro strips out a Lightning dock, and also switches to a lower-contrast black-on-gray LCD display. As compensation though it adds Bluetooth streaming, and incorporates a USB port for charging. Sound can also be pumped in via an aux-in jack.
Listeners can choose to wake up to digital music, FM radio, a buzzer, or the clock’s signature shaker, which is meant to be placed under a pillow and wakes people silently. Other features include a 10-level dimmer for the LCD, and dual alarms. The shaker is tethered by a six-foot cable. The Micro costs $50.
