Nintendo has revealed a new 2DS bundle containing a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 and all its DLC. The bundle, which is only confirmed for Europe at the moment, will include a red and white version of the 2DS handheld. It will come with a digital version of New Super Mario Bros 2, plus all 30 extra Coin Rush courses that were made available as paid DLC after the game was released.
A total of ten separate DLC packs were released for the game following its release in 2012, each containing three new Coin Rush stages. The total cost of all the packs comes to £20 / $25, meaning a total of £50 / $55 digital content is included with the hardware. Nintendo first revealed the 2DS in August 2013 and launched the handheld alongside Pokemon X & Y in October.
The redesigned portable plays the entire library of cartridge and digital 3DS and DS titles, but only in 2D. It also features a fixed, slate-type form factor instead of the folding clam shell design used for 3DS, but maintains 3DS hardware features such as dual screens, wireless connectivity and touch-screen interactivity.
New Super Mario Bros 2 was released in July 2012 in Japan and August 2012 in North America and Europe. Since then it has sold over eight million copes worldwide.
