Fox is getting shut of two low-rated reality efforts: Dating show hoax I Wanna Marry Harry and competition series Riot are being yanked from the network. Starting next week, Fox will replace the Tuesday-night shows with an encore block of comedy series, including Family Guy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl and Mindy Project.
Harry, where single American women competed for a man they were not-so-subtly misled into thinking was Prince Harry, was hammered by critics and largely ignored by viewers. Riot, an odd mash-up of improv comedy and obstacle course, didn’t make an impression. The remaining episodes of Harry will be available on Fox.com and On Demand, while Fox says there are looking for other places to burn off the remaining episodes on its schedule.
