Following his involvement with Marvel Studios’ blockbuster hit Iron Man 3, filmmaker Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) already has his next project ready to go into production. The film, titled The Nice Guys, is a noir crime-drama set in 1970’s Los Angeles, which will star Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.
Warners Bros. Pictures will be releasing Black’s new movie, his third as writer/director, and they’ve set its release date to June 17, 2016. This puts it on the same day as Pixar Animation’s sequel Finding Dory and supposedly DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 3 – although why that hasn’t officially been moved yet is beyond us.
The movie would be surrounded by big budget summer blockbusters such as the long-awaited Uncharted movie and Universal’s reboot of The Mummy.
