If you have a noisy Xbox One, you might want to take heed to the service Microsoft is offering. Overly noisy Xbox Ones are being replaced by the manufacturer.

Reports of new consoles being a tad on the noisy side have started to roll in now that Microsoft has taken the Xbox One more globally than before. Apparently, there are two different types of noise affecting these new users.

There’s the disc drive grinding news, one that obviously sounds when a disc is in the drive and somethings up with the actual hardware. Then there’s a dashboard static sound that occurs when the system sits in neutral position on the UI or in between apps.

Kotaku contacted Microsoft about the issues, and they received this statement in return:

We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud. While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we’re asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support: http://support.xbox.com. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems.

So, if you have a loud system, reach out to Microsoft. They seem ready and willing to resolve the problem.
