BlackBerry today revealed it has acquired a British firm called Movirtu.
Movirtu develops virtual SIM card solutions that allow multiple phone numbers to be used on a single device. BlackBerry said the acquisition will help it separate work and personal use on its smartphones for split billing. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
During the course of the last year, BlackBerry has focused on beefing up its enterprise services rather than sales of BlackBerry smartphones.
