Problem Child, the 1990 Universal Pictures comedy, is heading to the small screen. Deadline reports that Scot Armstrong (Old School) is developing a single-camera comedy based on the franchise.
John Ritter and Amy Yasbeck starred in the original film, directed by Dennis Dugan and written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The story of a mischievous youth who torments his parents spawned two sequels, Problem Child 2 and Problem Child 3: Junior in Love, as well as an animated series that ran for 26 episodes in the early 1990s.
“Problem Child” arrives from Universal TV and TBD Productions with Armstrong also executive producing alongside Rachel Kaplan and Peter Traugott.
