Next month, Razer plans to launch a new version of its DeathAdder gaming mouse that’s packed with a crazy-high 10,000 DPI optical sensor. Called the Razer DeathAdder Chroma, the peripheral will be capable of movement speeds up to 200 inches per second with 50 G acceleration.

“The Razer DeathAdder Chroma is the world’s best gaming mouse favored by eSports athletes everywhere,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “Our Synapse software continues to add value to our hardware products, and this is the latest example of that.”

The list of specifications shows that the mouse has an ergonomic right-handed design (sorry lefties) with textured rubber side grips. The device also includes lighting that supports 16.8 million customizable colors, allowing users to get creative with the Razer logo and mouse wheel. Lighting effects include spectrum cycling, breathing and static.

The list of features also includes 1000 Hz Ultrapolling, on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, an “always on” mode and five independently programmable “Hyperesponse” buttons. The mouse comes with a braided cable to reduce wear and tear, as well as a gold-plated USB connector.

According to the company, users can customize the sensor tracking cut-off distance to reduce on-screen jitter once the mouse has been calibrated to the surface. Calibration is important, as the sensor records the surface’s color and topography, which helps refine the user’s movements in-game.

The new mouse is compatible with Razer’s Synapse Stats & Heatmaps, which is currently in beta. With this new program, users can collect data to track and share mouse and keyboard stats. The program is also great for seeing how Razer devicesinteract with games.

The Razer DeathAdder Chroma is available now for $69.99 on the company’s website and will be released worldwide next month. Other “Chroma” peripherals offered by Razer include the BlackWidow Chroma keyboard ($169.99) and the Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset ($99.99).
