Starz’s Magic City is getting a second chance at life — this time on the big screen. The ’60s-set Miami mobster drama, which was cancelled in 2013 after two seasons, will return in movie form with much of its original cast in tact, our sister site Deadline reports. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Ike Evans), Danny Huston (Ben Diamond) and Kelly Lynch (Meg Bannock) will all reprise their original roles, joined by big names like Bruce Willis and Bill Murray.
Series creator Mitch Glazer has written the script and will also serve as director. “The chance to explore this wild time and place and this compelling family saga is a dream come true,” Glazer said in a statement.
I caught a few episodes and liked what I saw … can’t wait to see what they do with the concept in movie form!
