Nintendo’s Wii U is now 2 years old, but that doesn’t stop the company releasing this questionable ad in Japan, featuring a little boy and a female alien named Adam.
You don’t need to be fluent in Japanese to grasp the story line, but you may still feel slightly confused after watching it. It features a boy walking home in Kyoto, who is then abducted by a pink alien and her two bodyguards. The alien’s bodyguards give the boy a box containing the Wii U and then proceed to his house to set it up. The clip then shows off the Wii U’s features including: the touchscreen game-pad and camera, Mii maker, the plaza, and finally the Wii U’s applications. The whole thing appears to have been made on a tight budget based on the artwork and tools used.
The title of the video also states that this clip is Episode 1, suggesting there’s going to be a sequel to this oddity.
