Acer has unveiled a pair of smartphones for the international market. Updated is the Liquid Jade S, which brings additional speed and performance into the Liquid Jade smartphone series. Also revealed is the Liquid Z410 smartphone with LTE 4G, 64-bit processors, and a battery that the company claims will last for up to 400 hours in standby mode.
The Liquid Jade S premieres the latest 64-bit MT6752M Octa-core processor, with eight 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs from Mediatek which Acer claims makes it up to 2.5 times faster than other quadcore-powered smartphones currently on the market. The GPU on the pbone is the Mali T760. The rear camera is a 13MP shooter, with f1.8 aperture. and launches with Android 4.4 Jelly Bean, with an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop later in the year. Not yet known is the resolution of the five-inch screen. Starting price for the device is €299, with US pricing not yet announced.
