Lenovo at CES has launched a wearable health tracker for just $89. It is called the Vibe Band VB10 (needs a better name) and it is one of the more pleasant surprises out of this year’s show.
The Vibe Band VB10 sports e-ink display and strap that looks fashionable, like a real watch. Heck it even look like something a woman may want to wear who wants a device that both works well and looks chic.
The 1.43-inch display shows the time as well as notifications from a smartphone paired over a Bluetooth connection. You’ll be able to see alerts such as calls, text messages and notifications from social networks. Plus it rings your nearby phone if your handset has gone AWOL.
On the health front, Lenovo’s band tracks steps, calculated calories, distance walked and your hours of sleep. On of the best thing about the Vibe Band VB10 – it doesn’t need a daily recharge. Lenovo said the low-power Snapdragon 410 processor paired with the e-ink display will get you seven days on a single charge.
The Vibe Band VB10 works with both Google Android and Apple iOS phones and is due out on retail shelves this coming April.
