HBO has given a second-season renewal to the family comedy “Togetherness” from Jay and Mark Duplass.
The series revolves around two very different couples living in the same house in Eagle Rock. The half-hour is three episodes into its eight-episode first season.
“We began our love affair with HBO in our parents’ living room in 1983, and to have these brilliant creative people put a ring on our fingers with a second season of ‘Togetherness’ is a real life dream come true,” the Duplass brothers said.
According to HBO, the premiere of “Togetherness” on Jan. 11 has averaged 2.6 million viewers to date across multiple platforms.
“Togetherness” stars Mark Duplass, Melanie Lynskey, Amanda Peet and Steve Zissis. Jay and Mark Duplass are co-creators with Zissis. The brothers are exec producers and also write and direct.
Production on season two will begin later this year in Los Angeles for debut next year.
