Titanfall, released last year, was a modest hit for publisher EA. It was exclusive to the Xbox and PC platform, but it looked like PlayStation 4 gamers didn’t miss out on much.
However, EA promises that Titanfall 2 will be bigger and better, and that it will be released on more platforms. At the recent 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said:
“Last year it was on the Xbox only, in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us”
There were rumors all year long last year about a Titanfall sequel in development, and now EA has pretty much confirmed that it’s coming, and that it’ll be released on the PS4 as well.
Jorgensen has said that EA has planned out its first person shooter releases for the next few years. They include Battlefield Hardline next month, Star Wars Battlefront later this year, and next year, they’ve confirmed Battlefield 5 and hopefully Titanfall as well.
