wesley snipesWesley Snipes’ Endgame is in sight. The actor is returning to television for his first major role on the small screen in 25 years, joining the cast of the NBC pilot, which comes from Leverage‘s John Rogers and producers of NBC’s current hit series, The Blacklist.

Endgame takes place in the high stakes world of Las Vegas, where a former sniper turned security expert (played by Strike Back‘s Philip Winchester) is drawn into a mysterious conspiracy that forces him to complete a series of heroic challenges in order to save innocent lives. In the pilot, Snipes will play Johnson, the “‘pit boss’ of The Game,” which is the whole big conspiracy that Winchester’s character winds up in. Johnson is described as “highly intelligent, analytical and mysterious, someone who keeps an eye on the big picture but is also capable of cleaning up a mess when things spiral too far out of control.”

As stated earlier, this will be Snipes’ first major TV role in 25 years. His past TV credits include his lead role on the 1990 ABC cop drama H.E.L.P. (which only lasted for one season),  along with guest starring appearances in episodes of Miami Vice, Bernie Mac, and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. Meanwhile, his film credits include the Blade trilogy, White Men Can’t Jump, Jungle Fever, and, most recently, The Expendables 3, which just came out in theaters last year.
