Lady Gaga is set to appear in the fifth season of FX’s popular serial drama American Horror Story, FX announced Wednesday. The show is slated to return in October. The singer took to Twitter to confirm the news – and announce the fifth installment’s theme, “Hotel.”

While Gaga’s best known for her chart-topping hits, AHS won’t be her first foray into acting: She had a small part in the 2013 action flick Machete Kills.
The avant-garde performer seems to be making a career comeback following her 2013 ARTPOP album, which disappointed critics. Last fall, she and Tony Bennett released Cheek to Cheek, a compilation of jazz standards that won a Grammy in February. On Sunday, she delighted viewers of the Academy Awards with a tribute to The Sound of Music.
