Earlier this month The Pokémon Company revealed subscribers to Pokémon Bank would be able to claim the final evolutions of the Johto region starter Pokémon between the 27th February and 30th November 2015.
The launch day for this promotion has now arrived, with users of the service able to claim a Level 50 Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr.
As previously revealed by The Pokémon Company :
Meganium will come with the Hidden Ability Leaf Guard. Leaf Guard protects the Pokémon from status conditions when the sunlight is harsh or extremely harsh, and this Meganium knows Sunny Day—so it can change the weather to take advantage of its own Hidden Ability.
Typhlosion will have the Hidden Ability Flash Fire, which boosts the power of Fire-type moves by 50% and prevents this Pokémon from taking damage if hit with a Fire-type move. This Typhlosion knows Overheat, Flamethrower, and Flame Charge, maximising the advantage Flash Fire provides.
Feraligatr possesses the Hidden Ability Sheer Force, which eliminates the additional effects of moves used by the Pokémon, while increasing the move’s power by 30%. This Feraligatr already knows three moves that have additional effects. Thanks to Sheer Force, it can deal major damage with these moves.
On boot up, players will be required to use the Pokémon Link in either Pokémon X & Y or Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire after receiving the three starters from the Bank.
If you’re not already a user of Pokemon Bank, make sure you sign up between now and November for $4.99 / £4.49 / €4.99 respectively if you would like to claim these classic starter Pokémon. In addition to this, you’ll also be able to store up to 3000 ‘mon ‘in the cloud’ online.
