Shown at Unite Tokyo 2015, taking place today and tomorrow, this slide seems to suggest that the latest PS Vita firmware update will allow for the use of 30% additional RAM. Posted on NeoGAF by user Parakeetman, the slide appears to have been translated as
“PS Vita System software 3.50 allows for 30% more memory size usage with games.“
Unite is a conference for Unity developers and engineers around the world, arranged in a variety of locations, it aims to facilitate the meeting of like-minded Unity users where they can learn to get the most from the game engine.
This PS Vita news could spell good things for future releases, and maybe the possibility of patches for existing games, in order to make use of this freed up memory. Does this move also suggest that Sony could be planning a similar move for the PS4 with its future software updates? Let us know what you think in the comments.
