If rumors from many sources including Neowin are correct, it looks like the South Korean company LG is finally ready to launch Windows-based smartphones again.
Shown in the photo is what is reportedly an LG Windows Phone handset that could be available from Verizon Wireless this year. The device seems to be running Windows Phone 8.1, but, since Microsoft is planning to update most WP 8.1 handsets to Windows 10, we’re thinking that this will also get the new version of the OS.
There’s no word on what the leaked smartphone will be called, and neither on what features it’s going to offer. However, it doesn’t look like this is a high-end device, so if you were hoping to see a Windows Phone variant of the LG G3 (or, why not, of the LG G4), this definitely isn’t it.
Instead, this could be the 5-inch LG D635 that was rumored last year. If that’s the case, the handset’s display should offer a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. LTE and a front-facing camera are also on board (or at least that’s what the new image suggests).
