AMC’s adaptation of John le Carre’s The Night Manager is fleshing out its cast. Tobias Menzies (Outlander) and David Harewood (Homeland, Selfie) have joined the cast of the forthcoming spy drama, as have Katherine Kelly (Mr. Selfridge) and Neil Morrissey (the BBC’s Line of Duty).
Published in 1993 as le Carre’s first post-Cold War novel, The Night Manager follows a British solider-turned-luxury hotel auditor who gets roped into an intelligence operation to take down an internationally renowned arms dealer.
The series previously cast Hugh Laurie (House) and Tom Hiddleston (Thor).
The Night Manager likely will be a six-to-eight-episode event series, co-produced by AMC, BBC One (which will air it in Great Britain) and Ink Factory. David Farr (Spooks) will write the adaptation.
