If you’re lucky enough to be in possession of a GTX Titan X, then you’re entitled to a free copy of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” through Nvidia’s GeForce Experience Beta program.
In an effort to improve the GeForce Experience software, Nvidia is adding a new feature to deliver game-codes. Currently, this is only available in a Beta version of GeForce Experience, but to test it, Nvidia is giving The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt away for free to owners of a GeForce GTX Titan X. Yes, you read that right; existing owners of a Titan X can get a free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game code.
In order to redeem the code, you’ll have to head to this page on Nvidia’s website, where you can find instructions on how to obtain the free license. In the end, you’ll own the game through GOG.com, which is the distribution platform for CD Project Red, the Witcher 3’s developer.
Part of the new Witcher game are two features from Nvidia’s GameWorks libraries: HairWorks and HBAO+. Nvidia HairWorks is much like AMD’s TressFX, in that it significantly improves the dynamics of hair on actors and NPCs. Nvidia’s HBAO+ ambient occlusion significantly improves the quality and dynamism of shadows, with a minimal performance hit compared to competing ambient occlusion methods.
