Cadillac today said it will add support for Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto in select 2016 model-year vehicles.
Cadillac will adopt CarPlay in cars and trucks featuring its 8-inch in-dash unit first, with Android Auto to follow later in the year. Cadillac’s announcement follows that of Chevrolet’s, both of which are properties of General Motors.
CarPlay and Android Auto bring a select number of features from smartphones to the in-dash control panel for easier and safer use by drivers.
