If you were watching “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” you may have just caught the world premiere of the new trailer for Universal Pictures’ upcoming comedy, Sisters. Now the trailer is online and you can check it out in the player below! Starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, this is also the film that’s going to be going up against Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ opening weekend.
From Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore, Sisters follows two disconnected siblings who are summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.
The film also stars Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena and James Brolin.
Fey produces the comedy alongside Jay Roach (Meet the Parents series) and John S. Lyons (Austin Powers in Goldmember), and Poehler executive produces alongside Jeff Richmond and Brian Bell from a script by Paula Pell (“Saturday Night Live,” “30 Rock”).
Sisters hits the big screen December 18.
