Monster Hunter X has a confirmed Japanese release date of November 28th, and to drum up interest in the new 3DS title Capcom recently live streamed almost 30 minutes of footage.
The gameplay shows off some of the new fighting styles, one of which allows you to perform jumping attacks with any weapon. As any Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate player will tell you, the leap was previously exclusive to the Insect Glaive, and made that particular weapon a very popular choice.
There will be four fighting styles in the game, including the aforementioned aerial one. Another focuses on counter attacks, while a third allows you to revert back to the standard controls seen in previous titles. A fourth style will be available, but Capcom hasn’t offered up any details as yet.
Monster Hunter X hasn’t been confirmed for western release as yet, but seeing how well Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate did over here, it’s surely only a matter of time.
The video below – compiled by YouTuber Arekkz Gaming – also shows off some new locations and monsters and condenses the original to about nine and a half minutes.
