Solar power device purveyor QuickerTek today announced the 30 Watt 2015 Type-C MacBook Solar Panel. This solar power charger is the only in the world to feature the USB 3.1 adaptor cable which powers and charges the 2015 Apple 12-inch MacBook simultaneously given strong enough sun.
The Type-C MacBook Solar Panel is made with thin film photovoltaic creating and measures 11 inches x 6.5 inches folded. Unfolded, the panel expands to 30 x 31.7 inches. The device isn’t limited to just the MacBook — it complies with USB-C power regulation, and can be used to provide power to any compatible device.
The panel sells for $400 and is available now.
