Kemco has made a name for itself on iOS and Android but recently it has been spreading its retro-style JRPGs to other platforms. The latest of these is its Chronus Arc, originally released on mobile in 2013, which Kemco has now brought to the 3DS eShop for £6.99 / $9.99.
It has you playing as a boy called Loka who goes on a quest with his childhood friend, Princess Sarna, to restore the Chronus Fragments.
The Fragments have been stolen by a mysterious man so Loka has to chase him so that the ceremony of ‘Time Rewinding’ can be initiated. This will overwrite the current world with the past.
As well as turn-based battles, puzzles make up a big part of Chronus Arc, often involving switches, boxes, and pots. Luckily, you can reset puzzles if you get them wrong at the press of a button.
There are also sub-quests to take on, additional dungeons to find, and special items available for collecting extra Mana.
You can also purchase Chronus Arc on the App Store and Google Play if you prefer (or don’t have a 3DS).
