Evangeline Lily ANt ManThere’s big news for fans of Marvel’s tiniest hero. Disney announced a massive update to its release schedule through 2020 — a batch of movies that now includes an “Ant-Man” sequel. “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” which will infest theaters on July 6, 2018, is a bit of a surprise since the film’s box office haul ($410 million worldwide) proved smaller than his super hero peers like Captain America and Iron Man.

From the title, it’s clear that Evangeline Lilly will be getting a promotion to full-fledged hero status. Since Marvel is also pushing back “Captain Marvel” to a 2019 release date, the movie will be the studio’s first flick to feature a female title superhero. And for the actress, it’s about time.

“I have such cool memories of characters from when I was a child like Princess Leia (from “Star Wars”) and Catwoman played by Michelle Pfeiffer (in 1992’s ‘Batman Returns’),” Lilly, who is pregnant with her second child, remarked in June, before she knew she would appear in another Marvel movie.

“I idolized those women. So for me the idea of being a part of something that could potentially mean that I might play a role like that in another girl’s life is not only exciting, it’s an honor.”

Pixar Studios will be busy in the next few years cranking out new installments for several of its most popular movies, with “Cars 3” sliding into the June 16, 2017 pole position previous slated for “Toy Story 4.” That movie will instead run on June 15, 2017, a year ahead of the long awaited “Incredibles 2.”

Most of the 19 updates, however, include untitled Disney fairy tale, Marvel and Pixar movies, and are largely moves to ward off rival studios from key dates in the all important summer and holiday movie seasons for the next few years.

Here is the list of updated releases:

Cars 3 (June 16th, 2017)
