All superheroes have their villains. Jessica Jones’ is getting inside her head. In the first trailer for Netflix’s “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” Krysten Ritter’s titular heroine is haunted by memories of all the evil she’s committed. David Tennant, who plays Kilgrave, the manipulative figure who forced her into that dark world and is now back for more carnage, and Mike Colter, aka Luke Cage, Jessica’s confidant and paramour, also appear in the trailer. Luke Cage will soon be the subject of his own Netflix series as part of a deal that includes the already released “Daredevil” and the upcoming “Iron Fist.”
The 13-episode first season of “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” hits Netflix at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 20. It is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight,” “Dexter”) and Liz Friedman (“Elementary”), along with Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”).
