Last week, Sony Computer Entertainment Executive Vice President Masayasu Ito said there aren’t any first-party games in development for PlayStation Vita, with the company focusing on PlayStation 4 instead. Now, in an interview at Paris Games Week, SCEE President and CEO Jim Ryan says they are still working on first-party PS Vita content, just not big AAA projects:
To clarify what was said about Vita, which was either misinterpreted or misreported: I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of AAA development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon.
Whatever Sony is working on for the PlayStation Vita, they didn’t give any details during their lengthy Paris Games Week press conference on Tuesday, and Ryan didn’t appear to offer any hints in the interview.
