Google PlusGoogle has revised its Google+ social network to focus on the two areas that garner the most interest among users: communities and collections.

The changes are reflected across the web, Android, and iOS apps, which have been stripped down to simpler formats that make it easier to discover and participate in shared interests.

Google said almost every aspect of Google+ has been re-imagined so it is quicker and more intuitive to use for posting photos, videos, and links, as well as discussing topics. Google says users will need to opt-in to the revised Google+ on the web.

The changes will reach the Android and iOS apps in the near future. Google hopes early adopters will share their feedback about the new Google+ so Google may continue to refine it.
