Although it doesn’t see release for nearly a year from now, Focus Features has revealed the first teaser trailer for the upcoming fantasy fable A Monster Calls, featuring the sonorous vocal stylings of Liam Neeson as the title imaginary creature. Check out the A Monster Calls teaser trailer below!
A visually spectacular drama from acclaimed director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible, The Orphanage), based on the award-winning children’s fantasy novel, the story concerns 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) as he attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.
The film also features Toby Kebbell (Fantastic Four), Sigourney Weaver (Avatar) and Geraldine Chaplin (The Orphanage) also star, while Patrick Ness adapted the screenplay from his own novel “A Monster Calls.”
